Reader,
First things first, the library now has 4,600 DCP sets! Mostly new releases are the primary reason. However, I still come across old runs that have been added and a few members of the library has submitted missing runs as well, THANK YOU!
New tooling. DCP just announced a 379/89 sleeper without sleeper fairings. That is a nice variation. Right now customizers have to cut them off with some sort of tool and do bodywork to get that look.
I suspect collectors will be seeing producers leaning toward the new tooling to "be the first" to get new products out. The next 18 months will be exciting with the W990 Kenworth coming, the single axle Pete and now the new sleepers. Plus there is the Michigan style end dumps out.
Happy Collecting,
Eric
Reader We have some exciting updates for you! DC Toy Trucks has just released 3 new International IH Loadstar trucks. The Loadstar is a new tooling and can be purchased in different configurations similar to the C65 Chevy/GMC. Additionally, Burnett Farm Toys and Toy Trucks and More both release Kenworth T800 trucks equipped with propane or anhydrous tanks. Stamp N Toys also has 3 new W900 trucks available, complete with cattle trailers. We’ve also updated the Diecast Library with 46 new sets,...
Reader There have been a lot of new subscribers joining the library. Welcome! A couple of things to know. One, if you see a record with missing data, I am always on the hunt to fill in the blanks. The "suggest an edit" field is your opportunity to make the library even better by helping me fill in the blanks. This is especially important on older sets that are getting harder to find good data on. Two, curate your own collection in the "my models" and "my wishlist" sections. Choose the $8 per...
Reader Been a little while since we spoke and WOW, the diecast hits keep coming. This month alone there have been various owner-operator and company sets released all with Wilson grain trailers. 5,544 to be exact. If you need a grain trailer you won't have trouble finding one. I've mentioned before these sets seem to come in waves. 2023 has been dominated by Peterbilts with double or single-round headlights and buckets of lowboy trailers. I will bet good money you will see 379 Petes with...
